Our first release of 2020 is an imprint of Incentive’s brilliant Happiness album on cassette. It’s urgent, dense, claustrophobic, playful, ominous, melodic, and visceral. It’s instrumental, but certainly not ambient.
James (Incentive) says:
Happiness is an an album comprised of inspired and emotional compositions and production — a deep, complex sonic journey that amalgamates deep mechanical grooves and dark textures with hints of bright melody. This is a work of catharsis and self-medication; the auditory tapestry of this album was inspired by the junction of childhood trauma, depression, and anxiety about the future.
