“‘The Town That Was Murdered’ is an homage to the book written by Red Ellen Wilkinson about north-eastern town Jarrow. Forgotten at best, actively dismantled at worst, Jarrow is a signifier of the treatment of Northern industrial towns. Pitch black in places but not without glimmers of hope, there is a violence and frustration that runs underneath the surface, a resentment at being ostracised.”
The Town That Was Murdered was originally released as a cassette on the Herhalen label. This release presents a remixed and remastered version of the material.
Available as deluxe CD & download.
